BATSHIT
Rackspace does the Harlem Shake
So, the Harlem Shake isn’t exactly new. Either is krumping or trap music. But the bat shit crazy 30 second video meme of people dancing to Baauer’s “Harlem Shake” went viral so quickly in past week that you can’t log on to the interwebs anymore without seeing some bizzare dance party on your screen.
In a blog post titled “The Harlem Shake Has Exploded,” YouTube trends manager Kevin Allocca revealed on Monday that more than 12,000 Harlem Shake videos had been uploaded and watched more than 44 million times. And it’s only gotten more ubiquitous. From firefighters and Facebook employees, to college kids and grandmas, everybody’s doing it.
